China/United States Education Policy Roundtable
Under an agreement between University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) and the National Center for Education Development Research (NCEDR) of the Chinese Ministry of Education, the first U.S.-China Education Policy Roundtable was held in December 2005. The U.S.-China Roundtable gathered researchers from these leading institutions and national-level policymakers from both nations for groundbreaking and unprecedented education policy dialogues, in order to produce both education reform policy proposals and original research. Key areas for collaboration include trends in national education policies, school governance at all levels, educational reform at the local level, and education of disadvantaged groups.
