CPRE-Teachers College has partnered with the Merck Institute for Science Education (MISE) to support six areas: serving as MISE’s knowledge partner and making research accessible to MISE staff and those working with them; assisting with the design and implementation of MISE’s partnership with the Newark Public Schools; developing a program to strengthen literacy development in science classes; assisting with strategic planning and the development of the Academy for Leadership in Science; identifying indicators to track the impact of MISE on its partner districts; leading and supporting the evaluation of In-Step, a Merck-supported science initiative in Thailand; and designing and implementing a system for supporting the implementation of instructional reforms in science in Thailand.
